Rotary Club wins the 2024 Silly Boat Regatta
The club took top honours with their craft “Robotary” at the 38th annual Nanaimo Silly Boat Regatta. After winning the first heat, the club came in with a final time of 2:51.84.
Earth Day Trash Pickup
Local Rotarians, family and friends totaling over 70 people from Nanaimo and Lantzville, plus helpers from Vancouver, England, Thailand, and Poland picked up over 1,300 pounds of garbage in Nanaimo and Lantzville in one hour on Saturday, April 20. The event was organized by Ev Boegh, Jill Mont and members of the Rotary Area 40 Partnership Committee in celebration of Earth Day.

How to join Rotary
If being part of Rotary sounds like it fits with your values, desire to grow and give back, it is easy to get started. Just contact any of the clubs and they will be more than happy to invite you to a meeting. The meal for the first meeting is on us.
Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18-30 to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. Visit the Nanaimo Rotaract Facebook page. Rotaract meets alternating Mondays and Wednesdays (March 6, 2024 was a meeting date) at 6:00PM at VIU, Building 250, Room 215.
